Practice Resources

The CASW (2005) Code of Ethics sets forth the values and principles that guide professional social work practice. The NLASW has adopted this Code of Ethics to guide the ethical practice of registered social workers.

Ethical Consultation

The Professional Issues Committee of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Social Workers (NLASW) provides consultation and feedback to members on ethical issues. Find out more about the process or fill out the request form for an ethical consultation.

Practice Standard

The NLASW develops resources to support best practices in social work. These documents are complementary to the CASW Code of Ethics (2005) and Guidelines for Ethical Practice (2005) and are intended to provide social workers with additional clarification and guidance on professional standards.
